Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of the Caliber Little Rock Concrete Company website and any estimate or work you ask us for through it. By using the site, calling us or sending the contact form, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
When we do a job for you, the written estimate or agreement we both sign for that job controls if it says something different from this page.
What we do
We're a concrete contractor in Little Rock, AR. We build driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, garage floors, pool decks, retaining walls, footings and foundations, and we do decorative and stamped concrete, foundation raising and concrete cutting. You'll find the full list on our home page, and you can read more about us on our About page.
What's on the site is general information about our work. It isn't an offer to do a particular job at a particular price, and we may decline a job that's outside what we do or where we can't do it safely.
Estimates and pricing
We give free estimates at your property, with no obligation to hire us. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure that day, including the size of the area, access for trucks and equipment, the old concrete that has to come out and the ground the new slab will sit on.
Some things only show up once the job is open, like soft or wet soil under the old slab, buried roots or debris, or drainage that needs correcting. If we find something that changes the work or the price, we'll stop and talk to you before we go further, and any change in price needs your approval first.
An estimate stays good for the time written on it. After that, material and labor costs may have changed, and we'll update it before we schedule the work.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We set a pour date with you once the estimate is accepted. Concrete depends on the weather, so rain, freezing temperatures or extreme heat can move the date, because pouring in the wrong conditions makes for a weaker slab. If we have to reschedule, we'll tell you as soon as we know and find the next good day.
If you need to cancel or move your date, let us know as early as you can. Your written agreement says what happens to any deposit and to materials already ordered or work already done if you cancel.
Payment
Payment terms, including any deposit, progress payments and the final balance, are set out in your written estimate or agreement. Unless that agreement says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is finished.
If a payment is late, we may pause further work until it's settled and may recover reasonable costs of collecting what's owed, as allowed by Arkansas law.
Warranties and what we don't promise
Any warranty on our work is the one written in your agreement for that job, and it covers only what it says. The website itself and the general information on it are provided as is, without any promise that they're complete, current or right for your property.
Concrete is a natural material. Fine hairline cracks, small color differences and surface variation can happen even on a well-built slab, and we can't promise a slab will never crack. We cut control joints, grooves that give the slab a planned place to crack, so cracks are more likely to follow those lines instead of running across the middle.
Our work also depends on how the slab is treated after we leave. Driving on it before it has cured, heavy loads it wasn't built for, deicing salts, poor drainage you add later and ground movement we didn't cause aren't covered unless your agreement says they are.
Limits on our liability
We're fully licensed and insured, and we stand behind our work as your agreement describes. To the extent Arkansas law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost use of your property or lost income, arising from the website or our work.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing on this page limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.
If something goes wrong
If you're unhappy with anything, call us first at (501) 274-1092 or reach us through our Contact page. Most problems get sorted out by walking the job together, and we'd rather fix it than argue about it.
If we can't settle it that way after a good-faith effort on both sides, either of us may take the matter to a court with jurisdiction in Arkansas.
Governing law
These terms and any work we do are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, without regard to rules that would apply another state's law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one that applies when you use the site. Changes won't alter a written agreement we've already signed with you unless we both agree to it.
If you have a question about these terms, get in touch through our Contact page or call (501) 274-1092.
